Resurrection CYO Basketball
1st and 2nd Grade Intramural Basketball Program
“March Mayhem”
Resurrection CYO sponsors an Instructional Intramural Basketball program for 1st and 2nd Grade boys and girls during the weekends of March. Players will be assigned to specific teams by Resurrection CYO. Each player receives a team shirt with a number. Games will be played in the Resurrection Middle School-Doty gym with 8 foot high baskets (regulation is 10 feet.) This program will be a fun introduction to sportsmanship and fundamentals of basketball aimed at 6-7-8 year olds.
Each player will participate in a total of eight 1-hour sessions held on both Saturdays and Sundays in March. The first 20 minutes of each session will be instructional drills, with fun games for the next 40 minutes. The kids will play either 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 games, which works well with this age group.
Registration details will be available on the website mid January. Registration is open to the community and will be on a first come, first served basis.
