We are a parish-based volunteer youth sports program open to boys and girls from 1st through 12th grades. The purpose of CYO basketball is to provide children with a positive, character-building experience through the vehicle of sports. Children have the opportunity to practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities, build confidence and self-esteem, and become friends with other children throughout the parish and diocese. We look forward to working with your child on the fundamentals of basketball, the challenge of competitive sports, and the values of sportsmanship, fair play and personal responsibility.
Congratulations Res 8th Grade Boys
Congratulations to our Resurrection 8th Grade Boys A team.
The Resurrection CYO March Madness program begins this Sunday, March 2nd. Team rosters and schedules have been posted. Please click on the 'TEAMS' button located on the above horizontal menu bar. We ask you to navigate through the menu of teams to locate your young hoopster. You will have to hit ‘ROSTER’ in the left hand menu to search. A bit tedious, but you will only have to do it once!
You may wish to print out your player's schedule as it will not change. On your player’s team page, hit the ‘OPTIONS’ button, then ‘Print’ and you are done. The program is designed in a round robin-format so times will are different for each day.
First Session – This Sunday
We are keenly aware that this may be the first basketball experience for many of the kids, especially the 1st graders. Our overriding goal is to make each child feel comfortable. Upon arrival this Sunday, coaches will welcome your child, gather them for a brief and casual team meeting, and distribute uniforms (ie. t-shirt). Our next goal is to teach them basic fundamentals and have them fall in love with the game of basketball. They’ll learn a new sport and make new friends in a fun atmosphere From past experience, as March progresses you will be surprised what you see in terms of improvement, confidence, and smiles.
Basketballs are provided so your kids do not have to bring their own balls. Siblings - There are usually many siblings that come with their parents to watch the games. Only March Madness players are allowed on the court. We do not want older siblings shooting or tempted to hang on the 8ft rims or nets.
The Resurrection High School Intramural Basketball League begins this coming Sunday evening, March 2nd. Team rosters and schedules have been posted (above horizontal menu bar).
The program is designed in a round robin format so times will likely be different for each day. You can print out your player's schedule as it will not change once completed.
